Meet the Pros

Brianne Murphy

I have a great passion for this game and strive to gain knowledge to be able to pass on and advance every one of my students. My career started in 1997 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts where I worked under a Teaching Professional listed in the Top 100 Teachers in the United States. I then moved on to Connecticut, New York, Orlando, Chicago and then to the Tampa Bay area. Since becoming a LPGA Teaching Professional in 2003, I have worked with such programs such as Nike Golf Camps and First Tee Program. I have held the position of Junior Chairman for the West Central Chapter PGA for the last 2 years but am currently in the beginning stages of developing my own Junior Tour to cater to developing and competitive levels. I am presently certified as a Golf Fitness Trainer and a Personal Trainer which is a huge part of my golf instruction. I am presently the Director of Instruction and Owner of Murphy’s Golf Academy. I am also a Teaching Professional for Feather Sound Country Club, Clearwater and The Golf Club at Cypress Creek in Ruskin. My focus is on the students goals and their individuality, then incorporate fitness, video technology and swing instruction to give overall effective golf instruction.

Jane Yi

Born in simple Kansas, I grew to love the game of golf through my father. I started playing when I was 8 years old and the very next year I was competeing in tournaments. I hold several city champion titles, I am a State Champion, and I was voted Player of the Year by my college golf team. I played for Kansas State University for all 4 years and only missed one tournament. After graduating with a bachler degree in creative writing and Literature, I turned professional. I played a year on the Futures Tour. I have conducted or assisted for over 12 years in Jr. Golf programs, given over 8 years of individual lessons, and have worked in the golf industry for over 10 years. I currently am a Class B LPGA Professional and PGA Apprentice. An added hobby of mine is Tae Kwon Do. I am currently a 6th degree Black Belt. I love the game of golf and hope that by helping others find their swing, they will love the game as much as me.
